According to Egypt’s national aviation authority, the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, flying a drone is technically legal in Egypt if you obtain permission from the Civil Aviation Authority, but according to our research it is very difficult to obtain permission.

General Rules for Flying a Drone in Egypt
Based on our research and interpretation of the laws, here are the most important rules to know for flying a drone in Egypt.
- According to Law No. 28 of 1981, which was amended to include legislation about drones by Law No. 92 in 2003, before operating a drone for any reason in Egypt permission must first be obtained from the Civil Aviation Authority.
