According to Qatar’s national aviation authority, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), flying a drone is legal in Qatar, but we recommend being aware of and compliant with the drone regulations listed below before doing so.

Special Travel Considerations

If you’re traveling to Qatar and want to bring your drone, the CAA lists these special considerations for foreigners who want to fly drones:

  • Only citizens of Qatar are allowed to fly drones within the country. To the best of our knowledge, foreigners attempting to enter the country with a drone will have it confiscated at customs.
