Siberian Falcon Attacks Drone While in Flight
A huge saker falcon didn’t like this drone flying in its airspace, and took it down. The drone was operating near the Kamchatka Peninsula, located in a remote region of eastern Russia, when it was attacked. The saker falcon is the national bird of Hungary, the United Arab Emirates, and Mongolia, and it can reach speeds of up to 90 mph when hunting. Attempts have been made in the past to train bald eagles for taking down drones—maybe this video is proof that we should be using saker falcons instead.

Autel Evo II Gets Geofencing After Years of Boasting “No Geofencing” in Marketing
The Autel Evo II will be getting geofencing in its latest firmware update. Autel has boasted for years that it doesn’t have geofencing, but that won’t be possible now thanks to the update. The geofencing will apply to airspace in the U.S., Australia, Japan, and parts of China. Unlike DJI’s geofencing, which blocks drone pilots from flying in restricted airspace, Autel’s geofencing will only be informational for now—that is, drone pilots will technically still be able to fly where you shouldn’t, but Autel is hoping the geofencing information will encourage them not to do so.
