We really enjoyed this drone video shot by YouTuber Ellis van Jason in the Dolomites, a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. In the video description, he writes âWas this video shot on a Red or GoPro9?â The answer is a GoPro9, but the point is clear: you can get incredible cinematic FPV shots without spending a fortune on your camera. Brazil Uses XAG Ag Drones for Reforestation

Brazilâs oldest university, the Federal University of ParanĂĄ (UFPR), recently shared the news that it will be using XAG agriculture drones in a reforestation effort called the Arboreto Project. The drones will be used to speed up the reseeding process by dropping seeds of native plants from the air. The drones will initially be used in a trial, after which the approach may be rolled out more generally to help with reforestation work throughout the country.

Norwegian Coast Guard to Use Drones Equipped with Radiation Sensors to Keep People Safe from Nuclear-Powered Vessels

Five ships in the Norwegian Coast Guard will soon be carrying drones equipped with radiation sensors. The drones will be used to measure potential radiation exposure in the event of maritime accidents in Norwegian waters that involve ships powered by nuclear reactors. Nuclear-powered military submarines and civilian ships pass often through the waters near Norway, and are doing so with increasing regularityâthese drones will help make sure that radiation leaks resulting from a crash are identified and contained as soon as possible.

Dronetag Launches Remote ID Device for Older Drones

A Czech company called Dronetag has launched a product that can be attached to a drone to allow older drone models to be compliant with Remote ID requirements. Called the Dronetag Mini, the device supports both Direct Remote ID (broadcast via Bluetooth) and Network Remote ID (where details are sent to a central system via a mobile network and shared on the internet). The device is small, weighing only .07 pounds (32 grams). It has a battery life of 14 hours, and can be used with either a mobile or web app.
