This year a huge community arts festival called Féile an Phobail in Ireland hosted an unusual event: a race in which the competitors have to pull (or push!) a garbage bin while people throw water and flour at them. If you can tell we’re struggling a little to describe the race, that’s because it’s a very unique, wacky kind of thing. Cinewhoop at Concert Takes You from the Crowd to the Stage
Electronic music act ODESZA recently hired cinewhoop master Jay Christen to make an FPV fly through at one of their shows in Phoenix. The video is incredibly fun—in one single shot we go from fans running toward the arena, past the merch booth, into the arena and over the huge crowd, and right up on stage with the band as they play to a packed audience. Christensen rose to viral fame last year after his cinewhoop video Right Up Our Alley went viral, quickly popularizing not just him and his work but cinewhoops in general.

Mavic Mini vs. Hornets Nest—Who Wins?
This video reminds us of the viral video that made the rounds a few years back in which a drone equipped with a flamethrower was used to take out a wasps nest. In this case the drone in question is smaller—a Mavic Mini—and instead of using a flamethrower, it’s just using its props and its own body to try and destroy a giant hornets nest. Will the drone be successful? Or will the hornets prevail? Watch the video to find out.

Autel Announces Big Summer Sale
Autel recently announced a big summer sale on its Nano+ and Lite+ drones. Both drones created a buzz when they were launched back in January, in part because they were made to go head-to-head with DJI models—the Lite is supposed to compete with the DJI Air 2S, and the Nano is supposed to compete with the DJI Mini 2.

A2Z Launches Consumer Delivery Drone that Anyone Can Buy

A2Z Drone Delivery first came onto our radar for its delivery mechanism, which it developed so that it could be attached to a variety of drones to enable delivery. Today we’re covering the company’s launch of a new drone called the RDST, short for Rapid Delivery System. The RDST is an off-the-shelf consumer delivery drone that anyone who wants to do drone delivery can buy. It can fly up to nine miles in a single trip and carry up to 11 pounds. Without a special Part 135 certificate you won’t be able to fly A2Z’s new drone BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) for delivery, but you could imagine it being used for deliveries within visual line of sight in a number of scenarios—between buildings on a hospital campus with a blood sample, for example, or on a golf course with a snack. Pricing for the RDST starts at $20,000.
