We Can’t Get Enough of These Videos Shot with the DJI Mavic 3

11 November 2021Since the DJI Mavic 3 launched last week several videographers have released videos featuring footage they’ve captured with it.
The Mavic 3 has two cameras—a Hasselblad with a 4/3″ CMOS sensor that shoots 5.1K video and 20MP stills and a telephoto camera with a 1/2″ sensor that supports 4x zoom and 28x hybrid zoom.

Mavic 3 CINE in Iceland
During the last month I had the privilege to be one of the Beta-testers of the brand new DJI Mavic 3 Cine Version. For this 5 min long clip I did take over 2 Terrabyte of ProRes 422 HQ footage in Iceland. After around 200 flights with the new filmmakers dream drone I’m completely excited about the long awaited successor of the Mavic 2 Pro.
The color grading of this ProRes 422 HQ footage I did make in DaVinci 17 Studio. The dynamic range and amount of details in the footage is mindblower. Nevertheless it must be said that the two Mavic 3 Cine Versions I had have been running one of the first firmwares. According to DJI the image quality will be even better with the final firmware which will be available in November. I’m also very curious about the 4K 120FPS mode which will be coming with this firmware.
